Experience a totally new way of life with your NFC-enabled mobile handset! Whether you need to grab a new outfit, a quick bite or a cab ride around Singapore, all you need is your NFC-enabled phone.
NFC, which is the acronym for Near Field Communication, is a short-range wireless communication technology that enables data exchange between devices.
Supported by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and in collaboration with consortium partners Citibank, DBS, Gemalto, M1, SingTel and StarHub, EZ-Link has successfully integrated the ez-link purse into the NFC payment infrastructure and mobile handset.
This means that it has become possible for you to conduct cashless transactions with your NFC-enabled phone, at any retail, food & beverage outlet, and even when you take a taxi, as long as their ez-link reader carries this logo:
So leave your wallet at home! Whether you need to grab a new outfit, a quick bite or a cab ride around Singapore, all you need is your NFC phone!
* Please note:
- As this is a new service, not all merchants may have our updated logos on their readers, simply check with the merchant if they accept ez-link payments.
- The reader and NFC phone may experience intermittent detection issues as the devices come in different shapes and sizes, unlike a standard ez-link card. Please retry if it occurs.
- Your NFC-enabled phones with the NFC ez-link purse will only be accepted for payments on public transportation such as buses and trains, SMRT and Premier Taxis at a later date. Please note that NFC-enabled phones cannot be used for Electronic Parking System (EPS) and Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) payments.
